HTML/CSS Practice Project

Sneaker Website

Overview

This was an early university project where I designed and coded a static sneaker-themed website from scratch using HTML and CSS. The goal was to explore layout fundamentals while working on something personally interesting. The site included a homepage, sneaker news section, upcoming releases, and a buying guide — mimicking a simple media experience with a commerce twist.

Approach

Layout Design: Planned wireframes and page structure using a simple grid layout to display sneaker images, release info, and news cards.

Semantic HTML: Used clean HTML5 structure (<section>, <article>, <nav>, etc.) to make content well-organized and accessible.

Responsive CSS: Styled using Flexbox and media queries for a responsive experience across screen sizes.

Branding: Chose bold fonts and a black/white/high-contrast palette with accent colors to match sneaker culture aesthetics.

Navigation & Flow: Included a top navigation bar and consistent layout patterns to guide users through sneaker discovery and purchase info.
