Overview

JeneeUs is a concept UI project for a social app that matches users into small groups of five based on shared hobbies and interests. The primary goal was to design a magical and whimsical user experience that feels inviting, imaginative, and community-driven. The visual direction embraced a purple-based color palette, soft gradients, and playful elements to evoke a sense of wonder and connection. Key features included profile creation with customizable avatars and a seamless group-matching flow.

User Research & Flow Design: Mapped user journey from onboarding to match confirmation, focusing on simplicity and delight. Prioritized inclusivity and low-friction social discovery.

Visual Identity: Developed a soft, dreamy aesthetic using layered purples, sparkles, and curved UI shapes to align with the whimsical theme. Typography choices emphasized warmth and approachability.

Avatar Integration: Designed an avatar customization screen allowing users to personalize their identity in a fun and expressive way, enhancing emotional connection with the app.

Interaction Design: Prototyped animated transitions and group match reveals to create moments of joy and surprise. Employed subtle microinteractions to guide users.

Tools & Execution: Built in Figma, ensuring a responsive layout for mobile-first interaction. Components were structured for reusability and easy handoff to developers.z
